Let us go now with this very rare LP. It is the 2nd recorded by Mike Rat (Mike Kennedy) and The Runaways at Kaskade Club (Colonia-Germany), se same day that their 1st LP, but in the afternoon. They played under "The Beat Mixers". Enjoy!
MICHAEL AND THE FIREBIRDS - LASS SIE GHE'N
After two great Beat Singles with German lyrics (one a cover of ZOMBIES - She's not There) MICHAEL & THE FIREBIRDS split in 1965. Best known was also their guitar player ANDY MARX later with Cherubin, Creepy John Thomas; Passport , Boxcar Willie, Oakridge Boys ; Peter Maffay ; Udo Lindenberg and so on. Next step for Mike (Michael Kogel = Mike Kennedy) was an offer from spanish group the RUNAWAYS as lead vocalist, they released two German only Albums, one as MIKE RAT & The RUNAWAY and as BEAT-MIXERS after that they relocated to spain, recording and releasing some singles for the spanish market, before getting very successful as LOS BRAVOS ....
