RADIO FUTURA - DIVINA ESTÁS

The 80s famous Spanish band Radio Futura launched this hit in 1980. I upload this romantic song due to its sixties compasses and melody. Nevertheless, some people argues that this song is just a cover of T. Rex, Ballrooms of Mars (1972) - it is up to you. Anyway, many people remember themselves dancing this song in the darkness of a pub in "la Moncloa".

The catalan ye-yé singer Pilar Espí, or Sonia (Barcelona, 1948-?), had an ephimere career, from 1963 to 1966, due to the less attention to her music into the Spanish panorama. But he had a beautiful voice, as you can hear in this cover by the Rolling Stones "Get off my cloud" (1965).

BRUNO LOMAS - IRRESPONSABLE reloaded

Enlace

Emilio Balldoví Menéndez (June 14, 1940 - August, 1990), or Bruno Lomas, was a Valencian Spanish rock singer, not yet merely recognized in Spain. Since he was an authentic rock singer, not only singing, but living his life as well, he suffered successes and falls, reloads, and the dead his life had reserved for him: a car crash. He has a lot of good original songs, and also a good of hits covers, such as the one today I share: the cover of 1966 Tom Jones hit "Not responsible"

FLAMENCO POP-ROCK

Dear followers:
I was thinking on how I could explain some particulars the Spanish Sixties Music has. One of them is what I call "Flamenco pop-rock" (FPR). The FPR started in the Sixties and today is listening in a lot of little pubs (see the image above: Pub Lennon at La puebla de Montalbán-Toledo), and popular festivities. In others blogs, writers say that this music started with Spanish singer Encarnita Polo. I suppose that if I say that, thanks to the FPR, we can put together since Peret to Kiko Veneno, since Encarnita Polo to Juncal y sus Calistros, or since Bambino to Massiel, most of them do not agree with me. "Acid Rumba", "Gypsy Grooves", "Rumba ye-yé", or "Flamenco ye-yé" are just few names this music received. And also I suppose that everyone takes this kind of music in his own way. Anyway, as historian that I am, I can not forget its existence, and high importance in the Spanish sixties and seventies scope. FPr embraces a lot of music styles and brush them with a flamenco touch, since english covers to Spanish folk songs.
You have below few examples of the amplitude that this music had, an has. I will follow labelling FPR in the future.
Enjoy all these beautiful songs!
