LOS CINCO MUSICALES - CHIP CHIP
LOS CINCO MUSICALES started in 1967 the Bubble-Gum in Spain. Banded by Eduardo Buján, Francisco Díaz, Jesús Gracia, Beatriz Montero, and Esther Navares. In 1969 they won the III Festival de la Canción Infantil de
TVE, singing "Adivínalo", by July Murillo. This EP appeared with the song "Bugulú", by Ramón Farrán, in the B-side. They also participated in the IV Festival de la Canción Infantil de
TVE (1970), singing "La orquesta", and "Vamos a cantar", winning the Interpretation Prize, and the 3rd Prize respectively. They selected the best songs of the 3rd Festival, interpreted by other artists, such as
"El ratón Cotolito", "Babina", "La veloz tortuga", and "El columpio", and popularized them in their discography through their appearances in TV shows for children. They also appeared in the V Festival de la Canción Infantil de
TVE, (in 1971 and 1972 this Festival was not celebrated).

ZEBRA - BAD BAD TIME
Zebra, from Mallorca, were a band made of two pieces Z-66 and Los Bravos = Zee + Bra, and with great musicians, such as Joan Bibiloni (leader, vocal and guitar), Agustí Fernández (keyboards), Albert Candela (bass), David Walmsley (guitar) and Manolo Marí (drums). With an spanlife from 1972 to 1976, they became a progressive band, but also a pop-rock. They covered "bad, bad time" by The Roulettes. This song (February 1964) has become The Roulettes´ most famous song, but more because of its inclusion on beat compilations than because of chart success.

CÁNOVAS, RODRIGO, ADOLFO Y GUZMÁN - SEÑORA AZUL reloaded
Cánovas, Rodrigo, Adolfo y Guzmán, also known as CRAG, was a Spanish pop quartet, born in 1974. They only published three LP, and their success did not come in their beginnings, although they have been seen later as one of the best Spanish bands. Even their LP Señora azul (Hispavoz records) is seen as one of the best Lps of the Spanish Pop. Cánovas (drums) came from Los Módulos, a progressive and psychedellic band (forthcoming); Rodrigo came from Los Pekenikes (see this blog); Adolfo was the vocal and guitar of Los Íberos; and Guzmán, alng with Rodrigo, came from Solera.
Señora azul, that become the CRAG most known song has been taken as a critic to Franco, and the censorship, although CRAG alleged that this song was against music critics. As to me, I think this song talks about a lot of situations I have seen many times everyhere. Anyway, this is a beautiful song. Enjoy!

JEANETTE - ¿POR QUÉ TE VAS? reloaded
Janette Anne Dimech, (London, October 5, 1951) is a British singer naturalized Spanish. Known as Jeanette, she sing in Spanish, but also in Catalan, English, Japanese, Portuguese, German, and French. She has 7 LP, and more than 70 Gold, Platinum and Diamond discs. She has duets with Julio Iglesias, José Luis Perales, Mocedades, Sacha Distel, Raphael, and Formula V. Also, she received a proposal for a duet with Michael Jackson, but she refused this saying that she sing another music. In 1974 she accept a new composition done by José Luís Perales (a famous Spanish composer and singer), singing the song I offer you all today: "¿Por qué te vas?". This beautiful song passed in silence during the next two years, till 1976, when it became the soundtrack of a famous Spanish movie, directed by Carlos Saura, and called "Cría cuervos". This year, Jeanette was invited to the Parisian Olympia, sharing scene with Julio Iglesias. "¿Por qué te vas?" sold 6.000.000 copies all over the world.By the way, "Cria cuervos" is the first part of a Spanish proverb (Cría cuervos, y te sacarán los ojos: Raise crows and they'll peck your eyes out) . It means that if you are raising children, then it can happens sometimes that those children will give you the cold shoulder once they're grown up. In general, it means that favors made to ungrateful persons will always be time lost.Enjoy this sweet voice.
