Los Nivram again! Someones suggested that the name came from the surname of the charismatic Hank Marvin (The Shadows): M-A-R-V-I-N = N-I-V-R-A-M. But I think that is coming from the name of The Shadows' song Nivram. Anyway... enjoy!
