Los Sprinters were undoubtedly the highest quality musical band at 60s El Ferrol. Not
surprisingly, they are remembered by his countrymen as the Galician Beatles ("Os nosos
Beatles" in Galician), due to the covers they did well adapted to Castilian. Los Sprinters born in 1965 banded by Miguel Varela Suarez, "o tranquilo" (guitar and vocals), Ramon Miranda (guitar / organ), Alfredo Mella
Alvarez (bass), and José Vazquez (drums). Its
existence as an independent band was brief, but very productive,
leaving between 1966 and 1968 no less than five EPs and two singles, a
total of 24 tracks, some real gems. In
fall 1969, Los Sprinters go on to become the backing band of Andrés do
Barro, following the success of the first single from him. Even Los Sprinters participated with him in the film "En la red de mi canción" (1971), directed by Mariano Ozores and starring Ozores Mariano Andrés and
Conchita Velasco. They had a 5th member as singer, Pepe Sueiras, who disbands when they go with Andrés Dobarro. Enjoy this beat jewel!
