Siniestro total (Write off in English) is a Spanish Rock band that had a high success from its beginnings. Coming from Galicia, Siniestro total played his own role on the Spanish eighties music from 1981 till today. In a compilation album recorded in 2002, they performed the Lynyrd Skynyrd 1974 hit Sweet Home Alabama, but changing all lyrics. The Spanish versions is a pray for Galicia, its reality, its past, or, as galician people says, "la morriña" (at 0.37), a particular feeling that all galician people has when they are far from his land, Galicia.
For example, the original phrase "...when the sky is ever blue" is translated as "donde el cielo es siempre gris" (at 0.58), (when the sky is ever grey), due to the rain.
